Svyatovit Raises the Bar

So Svyatovit did it again… the boys over at Svyatovit from Belarus have put their telescopic boom excavator on the back of a multi-purpose vehicle.  Looks from the pictures that the machine can swim too.  Possibly they tweaked the boom too using it as a paddle.

I would say they have raised the bar for the teams over at Gradall and Badger.  What’s next Gradall putting theirs on top of a M1A.

Tunneling Excavator?

Anyone have any ideas on the specific application for this boom? I would say that it is for mine applications.  Looks like it has pivot capabilities that you would find in a Gradall Mine Excavator?

Svyatovit - Telescopic Boom Excavators

“Svyatovit” Company was founded in 1997. It is situated in Kohanovo (Vytebsk region). The plant became the first Belarusian enterprise producing multipurpose engineering machines. More than 300 units have been produced since the foundation of the plant.
3 models are being offered. Two of them mounted on a truck chassis - ANTEI and ANTEI-RX, and one - track-type machine named HYDRA.

First Volvo Excavator Rolls off Assembly Line in the USA.

We may be a little late on this but this is great news. Not surprising with the Euro and the Dollar punching it out that Volvo is moving Mfg back to the States. The first Volvo excavator to be built at the Volvo Construction Equipment manufacturing facility in Asheville, North Carolina, rolled off the production line Friday, November 9, 2007.
