New Laser-Based AccuGrade™ System Matches Durable Grading Box with Integrated Control and Automatic Operation

A new laser-based AccuGrade™ grading system for Cat® C-Series Skid-Steer Loaders, Multi-Terrain Loaders and Compact Track Loaders combines the capability of the Level Best Grading Box with the C-Series loader’s integral electro/hydraulic controls to create an automated grading system capable of extreme accuracy. The new system establishes flat or single-slope grades to within ± 0.25 inch (± 6.5 mm) without grade stakes or the expense of grade checkers and stake-setting surveyors. Machines grade more area per hour and are more fuel-efficient in the process.

Tunneling Excavator by Schaeff-Terex

Schaeff-Terex  developed and launched a few years back a versatile, robust tunnel excavator to be used for demanding and efficient tunnel heading.   What is amazing is that this machine looks like the CAT one we tracked last march and competes against the likes of the Gradall XL5110.

Tunneling Excavator?

Anyone have any ideas on the specific application for this boom? I would say that it is for mine applications.  Looks like it has pivot capabilities that you would find in a Gradall Mine Excavator?

Gradall XL3300 working in a Greek Coal Mine

This is one of the many XL3200’s working at the Greek coal mines which
supply coal for 70% of the power in Greece.  If you follow most of the
videos you’ll see this machine work under the big mining machine.  Also the
special attachment was designed by Gradall and PPC for cleaning coal and
debris from under conveyors.

Low Ground Pressure & PistenBully Equipment

Earlier there was a post on the capabilities of these snow grooming machines.   In doing further research, the PistenBully footprint is light. Ground pressure for special applications can be as low as 50 gram/sq. cm ( 0.71 pounds per square inch).
