New LinkBelt 75 ton Crawler Crane TCC-750

In May 2009 Link-Belt unveiled the all-new TCC-750 75 ton (70 mt) telescopic crawler  at SED on May 12–14, 2009 at Corby, Northamptonshire, UK. The TCC-750, designed and built from the ground up in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, has the same well-thought-out features and bulletproof hydraulics as Link-Belt’s proven lineup of telescopic cranes.


The TCC-750 has a completely sealed lower and hydraulically retractable side frames for easy transport and onsite flexibility. The retracted gauge, good for transport or work, is 2.56 m (8.4 ft). Two additional working modes at 11.9 ft (3.63 m) and, fully extended, at 14 ft (4.27 m) add jobsite versatility. And depending on local restrictions, it moves in either one or two loads. (more…)

Amazing footage from a crane collapse today in New Dehli India. The First crane has catastrophic structural failure and then the 2nd and third fall in. Very troubling.

Stunning Brilliant Robotic Grapple

For many operators of equipment out there this is a mix of way too much coffee, redbull, and powerful computing. There is around 15 tonnes of steel, 200 bar of hydraulic pressure and a control system written in Python. Oh, and a Wiimote.

The machines can spin around about 72km per hour.

Liebherr recieves LLEAP award for Truck Crane

The LTF 1045-4.1 truck-mounted telescopic crane, has been awarded the “2008 LLEAP Award Program’s Crane division” gold medal.

LLEAP (Leadership in lifting equipment and aerial platforms) awards prizes annually for innovative and/or pioneering products from seven separate product categories of industrial lifting technology and aerial platforms, which were launched onto the market within a specific period.

Manitowoc consolidates market position in five-axle category

Manitowoc launched the latest addition to its range of five-axle Grove all-terrain cranes, the GMK5110-1. Customers and dealers were the first to see the new crane at a special open day at the Manitowoc facility in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. It was introduced at a demonstration event on the company’s test pad as part of a series of product displays.
