It appears the German show Galileo may be the ones behind the destroy a car with a leibherr’s bucket full of water.  The video on the next page for all who want to see them test an even smaller excavator with poor results.

Since two machines went to Australia I wonder if they will be using the machine to clean their trucks too?

Caterpillar is moving rapidly forward with the new large mining trucks showcased at MINExpo last year and representing the company’s largest investment ever in new mining technology. The Cat® 793F and 797F mechanical drive trucks and the 795F AC electric drive truck are all achieving milestones.

The 793F and the 797F have accumulated more than 75,000 hours of field testing and have proven their performance capabilities and their durability. The new Cat C175 engine that powers them has racked up 130,000 hours of field testing in mining trucks and more than 120,000 hours in power systems. Ditch Witch’s powerful directional drill JT100 Mach 1

jt100

The 268-hp (200 kW) JT100 is an incredibly powerful machine, but it’s not power that makes it so productive—it’s how the power is distributed. The JT100 is designed to deliver power where it’s needed to complete the bore in the most efficient manner, without compromising power to other machine functions. There’s plenty of power for an optional onboard crane and onboard anchor system, too, which eliminate the need for additional equipment for pipeloading, anchoring, and other tasks, and give the JT100 a unique ability: the power to reduce the size of the jobsite.

Equipped with a 268-hp (200 kW) engine, the JT100 is designed so that rotation, thrust, and drilling fluid flow can operate simultaneously at full power, which leads to faster job completion. With 100,000 lb (445 kN) of pullback and 12,000 ft·lb (16 270 N·m) of torque, the JT100 is a directional drill built for both long-range bores, such as river crossings, and installations of large-diameter pipe.
