Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug adds Formatic to their Arsenal

December 4th, 2008 by moresnow | Filed under Snow Grooming.

Traditional Construction & Snowsport Construction are so similar in so many ways.  Whether it is the halfpipe or terrain park at major resorts or grooming the miles of ski slopes snowsports construction it is just as critical to cover the advances in the industry.

There can be no dispute that Formatic snow groomers are amongst the pioneers of over-snow-vehicles. As from June 2008 these vehicles have provided an important addition to Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG’s range of products.

Press Release via Pistenbully

Sales and service are organised under the same roof as PistenBully. However, the vehicles continue to be manufactured in their home base of Replot in Finland. Now that the Formatic 350 is part of the Kässbohrer range, the company - for the first time ever - has adopted a two brand strategy. The Formatic 350 really scores with its unbeatable cost efficiency. Its amazing climbing ability coupled with its high operating speed and its comfortable driver’s cab make the Formatic 350 a formidable snow grooming vehicle. Regardless of the snow conditions, its sophisticated design makes it more than equal to the task.

State of the art technology and all-round comfort
Its massive hydraulic pumps transfer the muscle generated by its powerful 350 hp Cummins diesel engine directly to its tracks. Using its tried and tested PistenBully-original combined tracks, the Formatic 350 can climb any slope with a minimum of effort. The “Snowrobot” triflex tiller with sequentially mounted two-way finisher and hydraulically adjustable side finishers prepares each track without any obvious overlaps. All of the Formatic 350’s attachments can be controlled right down to the last detail via the fully proportional “Load Sensing” controlled operational hydraulic system, and the on-board electronics allow all functions to be operated effortlessly. In the Funpark operations are made many times easier by the patented Auto Tracer tiller control function as well as by the facility provided by the Can Bus electronics system to align and save all necessary functions and settings.

It goes without saying that the Formatic 350’s spacious driver’s cab – as is the case with all Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG vehicles – is ROPS certified. The vehicle comes as standard with a centrally-located driver’s seat and harness seatbelts. Two passenger seats provide space for further people. The vehicle is operated via a single-hand lever control. The electrically heated all-round windscreen in the low-vibration cab, cooling water-heated front wipers and sophisticated lighting concept ensure clear vision and essential safety when carrying out regular operations. And the MP3 compatible CD radio, complete with Sound Boost System, ensures also that the driver can have some fun while he is working.
